Sir Richard Branson: “The World is Connected.”

“Working life isn’t 9-5 any more. The world is connected. Companies that do not embrace this are missing a trick.” – Sir Richard Branson.

Here on the Boldly blog we often talk about how working virtually can transform your work load by helping to streamline processes and make better business sense, but every now and then we like to look at what it can do you for your business as well as your work load.

That’s why we love Sir Richard Branson’s blog post on Virgin.com this week.

“To successfully work with other people,” he wrote, “you have to trust each other. A big part of this is trusting people to get their work done wherever they are, without supervision. It is the art of delegation, which has served Virgin and many other companies well over the years.”

“If you provide the right technology to keep in touch, maintain regular communication and get the right balance between remote and office working, people will be motivated to work responsibly, quickly and with high quality.” He added.

It’s not only getting the best value for money and the best staff for your roles, but about delegating tasks and creating an effective and efficient business model based on trust that virtual services can bring to your company.

What have you delegated this week, and how is that helping your business?
